Celebrate Christmas at the Mount Somerset 2010

 Enjoy the festive season at our newly and beautifully refurbished Country House Hotel.
If tranquility, relaxation by open log fires and superb food is what you desire, then why not enjoy Christmas 2010 with us at The Mount Somerset. Built in 1805 by an Italian Architect and surrounded by beautiful Somerset countryside, with spectacular views over the Quantock hills, this lovely Regency country house is the perfect location.
Our Christmas programme gives you the perfect combination of the finest cuisine created by our award winning Head Chef Stephen Walker and his talented team, for which the hotel is renowned, attentive yet unobtrusive service, so all that is left for you to do is to sit back and enjoy our hospitality.

Christmas Eve
A warm welcome awaits your arrival. Afternoon tea will be served in the lounge from 2pm until 6pm.
After unpacking and settling into your room, we will meet at 7pm for an informal Champagne and Canapés reception in the lounge, where you will be entertained by the fantastic ‘Isle Singers’. (Members from the Somerset Chamber Choir)
Following this, dinner will be served in the Somerset Dining Room. Our team of chef’s has especially prepared a gourmet menu for your delight.
Then retire to your room and await the sound of sleigh-bells!
Christmas Day
Full English breakfast will be served in the Conservatory between 8am and 10am. Tea and Coffee making facilities are available on request and early morning tea and coffee can be served at your bedside, as can a Continental Breakfast if you prefer.
You are welcome to totally relax by our mesmerising log fires in the lounge or those inclined may prefer to go out for a walk returning for a glass of Champagne and a Festive Christmas Lunch. Paul Roberts our resident pianist will be entertaining you throughout your lunch which will be served between 12pm and 3pm.
On Christmas night a light buffet supper will be served between 7pm and 9pm.
The Somerset Dining Room is open to non-residents for lunch but will be residents only in the evening.
Boxing Day
Full English breakfast will be served in the Conservatory between 8am and 10am. Tea and Coffee making facilities are available on request and early morning tea and coffee can be served at your bedside, as can a Continental Breakfast if you prefer.
Today has been left open for you to spend at your leisure. The wide open spaces of Exmoor are only a short drive away and the South West Coast Path overlooking the fossil-rich beaches at Charmouth and Lyme Regis is only about 50 minutes away. Glastonbury, Wells Cathedral, is also a short drive away.
For the finale to your Christmas break at The Mount Somerset Hotel, we offer you our Gala dinner. This will begin with aperitifs in the lounge from 7.30 pm. Dinner will then be taken in the Somerset Dining Room where our team of talented chefs has carefully chosen a menu to make your stay memorable.
The Somerset Dining Room is open to non-residents for Boxing Day lunch and dinner.
Sunday 27th December 2010
Full English breakfast will be served in the Conservatory between 8am and 10am. Tea and Coffee making facilities are available on request and early morning tea and coffee can be served at your bedside, as can a Continental Breakfast if you prefer.
Unfortunately your Christmas break with us concludes and we bid you a farewell.

This special break is available from 24 December 2010 to 27 December 2010. Subject to availability.
Terms and Conditions
To confirm your Christmas reservation, please may we ask you to forward a 50% deposit, the balance to be paid by 1st December 2010. This deposit is non refundable. In the event of cancellation however every effort will be made to re-let the room. If the room is re-let no charge will be made.
We are happy to cater for any special dietary requirements throughout your stay but politely request that notice be given.
